Sunny revealed that his wife will be giving birth in early May. "My wife will be on her own, as I will not enter the delivery room with her!" Hong Kong's broadcasting administration received two complaints that "War and Destiny" was inappropriate for children to watch. Online fans also commented the series glorified the Japanese troops in World War II.
