I am having an icon of sysprotect installer appearing on my task bar which I can't delete. It is supposed to be a clone of Winfixer. Any idea? or any free spyware removal tool to remove it. I have Norton and Beta2 but can't do anything about it.-sweat
run each of the following apps: spybot adaware spywareblaster spywareguard Run them in normal mode then run them in sade mode Also, see if you can get urself a hacked version of spysweeper. That will really help. Also, clean out you internet explorer temp files and cookes. Also, raise your ie security settings. Knoc
also, if its in the bottom right hand taskbar, it prob attached itself to the start up app. if its still there after you do what i said above, then i'll tell you how to remove it...actually..lets test it now..it the icon there everytime u boot up ur pc?...reboot ur pc...is it still there?....
ok, as suspected, still there eh. do this: -go to start -then run -click run -enter this in the box that pops up "msconfig", without the quotes -hit enter -when the window pops up, navigate to the "startup" tab -once u are there, screen shot that window and post the pic in this thread. I need to find it in there to remove it from starting up. Knoc
Thanks. What you mentioned was too technical for me. Not expert category yet. If you are so kind as to explain a bit detail. Much appreciated.
1) press the prt src buttong on ur keyboard to screenshot(its beside scroll lock button i think) 2) open paint or photoshop or w/e u use and paste the image 3) save the image 4) upload it on a site 5) copy url and paste it here
I only have a PrtSc/SysReq button on my keyboard near F12 button in my laptop. I managed to go to the startup tab and I am lost.........
I tried but failed even with help from kdotc. Sorry! But maybe this will help. I have copied the startup item for your view. padEx,Apoint,CeEKey,TPTray,FnKeyHook,HWSetup,SVPWUTIL,ZoomingHook,TCtrlIOHook,TPSMain,SmoothView,TvsTray, tfwctrl, igfxtray, hkcmd,SNDMon,LVComsx,ISStart, dslstat, dslagent,ccApp,MWSBAR. Fingers crossed.
try again to see if u can get a screen shot, as i need to see the location of those names u listed: 1. To copy the screen to the clipboard, press the Print screen key (normally located in the top row on the right-hand side of the keyboard). If you wish capture only the active window, press and hold the Alt key, then press the Print screen key. 2. You may wish to paste (Ctrl-V) the screenshot into a word-processing program, such as Microsoft Word, for inclusion in your document. 3. However, a standard image format is smaller and generally better for distribution. To save as an image: 1. Click the "Start" button (normally located in the bottom left of your screen), and then click "Run". 2. Type "mspaint" (without quotes), and press "Enter." This opens Paint. Alternatively, you can go to (in Windows XP) Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Paint. 3. Press Ctrl-V to paste the screenshot. (In older versions of Paint, a dialog to resize the image may appear; click "Yes.") 4. Press Ctrl-S to open the Save As dialog box. Type a filename in the "File name" field. For "Save as type," select either "24-bit Bitmap", "TIFF", or "PNG". ("GIF" and the other three bitmap types are often not suitable for full-color screenshots because they discard color information; "JPEG" is never suitable for screenshots because it blurs borders.) Press "Enter" or click "Save" to save the screenshot.
hit ctrl+prtsc then open paint hit ctrl+v then save that image to ur desktop then upload it to imageshack and then post it in the thread.
