Amongst TVB Fa Dan, Tavia Yeung is considered as minority. In recent years, she is the minority as in successfully became TVB first line actress amongst those that entered TVB Training Class. As she entered this industry for quite some time, she filmed series non-stop and almost continued one series after another. Amongst those series, there were some roles that left impressions on audiences. Sadly, she always give the feeling of “second mistress life” to other people as she would only be the second main female lead in all her series. However, her role “Ah Yuet” in Moonlight Resonance led to the rising of her popularity and brought new fresh feelings to audiences. In entertainment industry which is uncertain, Tavia Yeung who entered this industry in 2003 (the writer has mistaken as the year she entered this industry is 1998 and 2003 was the year she won Best Improved Actress) finally won Best Improved Actress that year based on her “Wet Girl” role in Vigilante Force. Later on, based on Vigilante In The Mask, The Prince’s Shadow and other series, she slowly became TVB Fa Dan. In 2008, she even won Best Supporting Actress award based on her outstanding role in Moonlight Resonance. If you ask her what is her target now, she will not give the answer that she gave last time, “As long as is number 2 then is enough.” The Tavia Yeung now will give you a more firm answer, “I want to win Best Actress award!” No matter she will only have chance to win it in next awards ceremony or after 10 years, she will keep on work hard to achieve it. “To be a main lead is every artiste’s dream. Do not look into the result and as long as someone finds you for a role, this already means that there is someone agrees with your acting. Therefore, the pressure comes from here. The pressure does not come from ratings report and is actually comes from an explanation to someone that agrees with your acting.” Everyone’s positions will changes according to time and circumstances. Tavia Yeung said, “I will not put myself at a very high position or very low position. Maybe some peoples will say that I do not have willpower and do not dare to set a target for myself. However, there are many things that will not follow my wish and a lot of things need time and courage. It is a step by step process to achieve and there is no use into rushing over it.” As to what type of actress she belongs to, she will leave to audiences to judge for her. “In this field, doing well is not enough and most important is to make sure how to lengthen the freshness to audiences.” This is what that Tavia Yeung still did not achieve. She admitted that the glowing that appeared on her always does not last long. Talk to the end, the question is still her thinking and she does not have wild ambitions. Whether an artiste can really success in building their popularity or not is a hard question and knowledge. Tavia admitted that she is lack in this side and has to work hard on it. Tavia Yeung admitted that rumours indeed can help an artiste to gain popularity and attention but this doesn’t mean that acting skills and strengths will gain approval as well. Therefore, she chooses not to have any rumours rather than other peoples know her through her rumours! As she looks like Maggie Cheung,, soon after she was given the nickname of “Pirated Maggie Cheung”. TVB gave her chances to take part in Gods Of Honour, Eternal Happiness, Whatever It Takes and etc. Tavia was praised by many veteran artistes before and her popularity kept rising after that. She even had chance to take part in more important roles and left deep impressions on audiences in The Awakening Story, The Golden Faith and Vigilante Force.
