please read this whole thing, it really means a lot, even if you choose not to help i'm participating in the 30 hour famine this year, and i'm looking for pledges! $5, $10, anything will help; a little money goes a long way. since this is a request for actual money, i know its different and i understand if you choose not to donate, but i'm just hoping that you could all take a look at it, consider it, and maybe pass this donation link on to friends or family that you know would want to help. the money raised will go to three main areas of development in third world countries - food, water, and rehabitation centres for children that were forced to commit violence against their own people from early childhood. just $360 can feed a family for an entire year - thats less that $1 for a day of food! as well, this 30 hour famine is not just a event to raise money, but also our awareness of reality somewhere else in the world, so these donations are not the most important thing. i also hope to spread this message around, that even though we probably all live in a place where food, water, and shelter is not a problem for us, there are many many others in need of these necessities. if we took all the money we spent on stuff like MP3 players, cds, electronics, etc., we definitely have enough money to overcome this poverty. so anyway, i hope you will all think and consider this! and since many of you are probably super fans of some HK entertainment figure, in the future, if you're ever planning gifts for them, think of world vision and maybe sponsoring a child under their name! this is the donation link: https://www2.worldvision.ca/famine/20261793 and this is the official website of the whole program, where you can find more information: www.famine.ca i hope you all understand that my job is not just to raise money; the other big part of this event is spreading around the message, that we have what it takes to overcome poverty. so why not go for it? thanks everyone! =)
oo i did this when i was in high school lol but, since i couldnt finish the 30 hours, i donated a shit load, to make up for the 30 hours lol

i would donate, but something is preventing me.. oh right greed... naw jking, but i donate a lot throughout the year to other charities, good luck with this though! i really hope they get 1 billion from bill gates.. he'll be like Jesus amongst the poverty... oh and edit: how does this thing work? iono what a famine is
famine is where theres no food for the people, sometimes a natural disaster if theres a drought or something, but in third world countries its also because the people don't have money for food. we, as 30 hour famine participants, don't eat for 30 hours and we hope to collect pledges and donations for it.
