Found an extended trailer on YouTube: [video=youtube;RSjZIwRrpSo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSjZIwRrpSo[/video] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1160996/ Movie was panned by most critics and had received only a paltry 17% on Rotten Tomatoes, but I found it nonetheless an entertaining, if formulaic pop corn wasting thriller. Spoiler: By that I mean ...it seems like a retread of just about every end of the world apocalyptic existence ever seen in moviedom, except this one comes with icing on top. I wish they could have done more with this as the acting isn't bad, but the script is rather bland. The CGI is seamlessly impressive, conveying a world submerged in a new ice age that brings mankind to near extinction. Whilst some groups find shelter in underground crevices (remnants of industrialized outposts) they soon fall prey to those that hunt and literally cannibalize for their existence. A sad commentary on man's most common denominator of needing to eat in order to survive. Be that as it may, given the ending, there is room for a sequel and if producers gave it a bit more thought, it could be the basis of a new series. That 'small group against the hostile cannibalistic world' a la The Walking Dead has shown itself to be a winning television methodoly time and again. Interestingly enough, but from time to time, I find a tremendous number of extended, ...ahem, "trailers" on YouTube, many in HD format that can be saved.
