im actually pretty excited about this. i never liked the original...but oddly enough, I think Hollywood is gonna do a fine job with this remake.
shit.. hollywood.. ALWAYS WANT TO COPY .. why why why.. let them dominate CHINESE INDUSTRY... why oh why.. eh but leh.. WOW.. I THINK LEONARDO SUITS D ROLE.. HE'S AWESOME IN THIS TYPE OF SHOWS.. aviator rox>.< matt damon.. er.. er.. ERR... weeeeeee is mark whalberg the one who acted in 4 BROTHERS? HE'S AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEE.. that fella has d bad boy look (that's himself in real ) ..
This should be a good movie. I actually saw them film part of the movie in the Chinatown in Boston. Actually got to see Leo and Mr Scorsese that night. It's only 3 months away.
wow. leo!! he hasn't done a movie that i can remember since titantic. case seems okay.. and how cool is this.. jack nicholsen. a remake will be so different tho.. i think i'll lose a lot of the 'chinese' flavour. esp the triad stuff.
Infernal Affairs was excellent. This remake has a great cast (Leo looks as though he suits the role!) and I can't wait to see it. Shall go check out the trailer first!
I sure hope they don't ruin the reputation of Hong Kong flicks even more. I'm usually not a fan of remakes, especially in different languages.
I thought the trailer was pretty good. Maybe because I am the only Chinese person who has never watched the original. I've heard about this movie for a while, but never knew it was so star studded.
I was going to make a thread about The Departed but Shinobi beat me to it. The minute i saw the trailer i said to myself how stupid of hollywood was to copy Infernal Affairs. Is hollywood running out of ideas for movies that they have to steal from the brilliant chinese movie makers now?? I dont know how good this one will be after seeing infernal affairs. If it ends the same way, then its a total copycat and i think it will not be that exciting to see. If they have a totally different ending, then maybe ill go watch it in the theater.
I feel it's ok for hollywood to take movies from the chinese industry... but seeing how they dont even give credit and are producing it as if it's their own idea, kinda feels like they're insulting chinese people. hmm... i feel like i've seen a thread about hollywood stealing ideas sumwhere.
they can't STEAL it....im sure hollywood has paid HK the rights to the script... either way it's a good thing... that hollywood would looked to Asia for idea's....also a "Sassy Girl" hollywood version is in the works also.
another classic case of hollywood copying asian movies and making big bucks in return. no originality whatsoever. -nono
hahah.. he was also in boogie nights.. my dude Marky Mark is pretty raw... lol. but I was a lil disappointed with putting Leonardo in there!? come on... I mean Matt Damon... Jason Bourne.... Mark Whalberg... Italian Job... and then Leonardo... Titanic!? haven't seen aviator but I doubt dude kicked any ass in that movie?? I dunno Leonardo just doesn't come off to me as being a secret agent type dude...
