The way its said in Wikipedia, I don't think it works like sugar. The berry is supposed to numb or whatever your taste buds which would make what you eat later sweeter than what it normally would be. Thus, people who use this berry or the tablets would be more likely to consume less sugar.
omg what an awesome fruit... would really help when your like drinking chinese medicine.. that stuff is so bitter and nasty tasting
that is really cool! but it's not for those who like the taste of beer and hate chocolate milkshakes lol but i wouldn't want to try it, don't know what the side effects are...
