The one and only "Three Firsts" for Joe Nieh Hong Kong writer Joe Nieh shared in his magazine column, his marriage with Vivian Chow which he described with "Three Firsts", professing it to be an "once-in-a-lifetime" column article. Entitled "The Three Firsts", Nieh described in his column, his first time purchasing the wedding band, first time shopping for a wedding cake and the first time he had a lawyer to witness his wedding. Nieh revealed that he had spent a night shopping online with Chow for their wedding bands until they finally decided on the one with classic elegance. Ring sizes were an issue as they could not try it on personally in the store and Nieh had no experience buying rings. With the help of friends, he managed to try the ring at home and successfully bought the ring within 24hours without alerting the media. Wedding cakes were an issue for the rushed wedding. They managed to make phone orders and online payment to a decent small confectionary introduced by a magazine and got their three tier cake within five days. Nieh complimented the confectionary for their delicious cake, low key and on time delivery that managed to escape the eyes of the media. Their witness of the wedding ceremony was randomly picked upon. After the selection, they sent in their identification cards for registration and settled the affair within 15minutes and paid only about S$600 for the entire service. Nieh lastly wrote that, "These are the 'three firsts' for me; and there will not be a second time for these. I'm writing this once in a lifetime and I just have to share it with my readers."

Uh oh .. he said "three first rather than "last" .. I guess second will be shortly behind no matter what he says.
