March 31, 2006 - A teaser trailer for the long-awaited The Simpsons movie has arrived! The preview is not online yet, but rest assured we'll have it here on IGN FilmForce as soon as it's available. Skip the next paragraph if you want to avoid reading a description. According to a brief write-up in The Hollywood Reporter, the clip announces the movie's July 27, 2007 release date with a 25-second clip that opens with a giant "S" appearing on the screen... but this isn't Superman. "Leaping his way onto the silver screen," says a narrator, "the greatest hero in American history!" It's then that an underwear-clad Homer Simpson appears, sitting on his couch, and says, "I forgot what I was supposed to say." The narrator adds, "The Simpsons Movie,' coming to the screen, July 27, 2007." "Uh, oh," says Homer, "we better get started." Fans have been anticipating the film based on the long-running animated series for years. The Simpsons, from Matt Groening and James L. Brooks, has been on the air since 1989. Voice work on the movie has already commenced. The production is based out of Film Roman Studios in Burbank. http://youtube.com/watch?v=hOVQdPHSihM&search=the%20simpsons (mini trailer)
i haven't liked the new episodes that've been coming out for a while. i can only hope that this will be good.
Oh i am waiting and wondering what whackie... antics the writers will come out with for the movie.. the simpsons hasn't disappointed me yet i really hope they can pull this one off... this could be a downfall or just the spark to make simpsons even more popular. or maybe this could be a marketing gimmick if they are losing revenue in the TV show itself and they need a spark for marketing the simpons based items! but i highly doubt it.. since The they have having a pretty good revenue gimmik already by being one of the first few shows to put out seasons of their shows in DVD box sets.
I agree, Simpsons has been horrible lately. I'd rather watch Family Guy nowadays but it has also been pretty bad. Especially after South Park made fun of it. I need to discover a new comedy :(
I used to like the Simpsons. But now I watch Family Guy instead. I guess I like the drawing of the characters, and it has better color, and is really funny.-lol Lately, the episodes of Simpsons are not that good.
Woah, a movie ? Always been a fan of the TV show, I bet its gonna be a pretty cool movie. Cant wait for it to be released...
Oh i thought it would be an animated movie. It better be a good movie or the tv show's gonna go downhill. I always see a pattern, when they decide to make a movie based on a show and it does horrible, the show doesnt survive very long after.
