The trailer didn't even make me laugh or anything, look rather silly. 0:43 That's what those chinese 'kungfu' (newbie) people use to do (to avoid being poked at the eyes)

Man, I used to love the 3 stooges. And the trailer didn't make me laugh either. I'm not loving the casting choice.

IMHO, when the original Three Stooges were at the height of their popularity, comedy was strictly Vaudeville and slapstick was almost de rigueur. But cast again through the jaded prism of contemporary audiences, these old routines fall flat. Some would arguably consider an undertaking like this to be a sheer waste of time. Their closest modern imitator that was perhaps, best able to capitalize on this brand of inanity, IMHO, was the early Jim Carey in his series of movies. Carey offered a very similar type of tomfoolery but successfully shoehorned his act into a present day tense that audiences could relate to. Still, despite these successes, Carey remained eclectic to some; bizarre to many others.

This trailer itself is very reminiscent and faithful to the Stooges' type of antics, but rather than heart warming, I found myself wincing through their routines. What had once been rip roaring humor, I now see as quaintly dated. I just don't think what they do is funny anymore; watching those old routines performed by modern copycats, rather than nostalgic joy, instead fills me with an incredible sense of sadness.

I think I'll pass this one.
