Arcades are dying out here in the States, but they sure wouldn't if they were more like this Japanese Initial D cabinet. Instead of just a booth or a mockup cockpit to sit in, you get to actually drive in the tofu car from the Initial D series. Not only do you get to drive the '86, you can also ride in a Subaru Impreza WRX and Mazda RX-7 (also featured in the show). If only their Boong-Ga Boong-Ga game was so realistic. how much would you pay for one of these setups in your house? im pretty sure id give up my left testicle.. i mean, you really only need one right?
Holy mother of...how many places actually have this? Or is it unique? I mean, that's a lot of floorspace to give up, but I'm sure the cost of one round more than makes up for it, lol. Now I can imagine the day their have multi-screens like in a real sim, and use something like, or better, than the Unreal 3 engine to drive the graphics.
^haha....right. The physic engine in real life is better than in the game, isn't it? However, I don't believe that you can restart the round or reset your car after a deadly accident.
thatd be awesome to have one of those !!! do those move around side to side aswell.... they probably bounce up and down... but would it actualkly move side to side as u drove around corners? that'd be so realistic!!! and possibly one of the best games ever!!
WoAH thats Hektic Lol.... If only australia had that tooo xD. Ah wells, I guess having those cars would kinda suck for ppl who have their own versions/mods of the cars (on their cards).
pretty expensive for an arcade game... but i'd still give ti a go atleast once mayb more if it's as good as it looks
i wish they would have one of these in the states. then i could steal the rims and other misc parts and sell it on ebay. hahah
