On July 30th a thief trespassed at the AKB48 Theater stealing a wall-mounted picture of CG-idol Eguchi Aimi in the process. The official AKB48 blog writes, that the person who stole the picture probably did it on a whim and meant no harm. They also note the thief is probably feeling regret right about now. Since the culprit may be feeling remorse, AKB48 Theater only wishes that they would come back and return the photo. “We could easily make a new photo. It just doesn’t have any meaning if that is done. Up until now, not one wall-mounted picture has been stolen, that’s ‘proof’ that the theater and fans have such a strong relationship,” writes the staff. It appears like management doesn’t want to press charges against the person who stole the picture, they would just like it returned. “It would make us happy if you could return the photo to the theater.
