Okay I got my flash drive today and I was wondering how ppl felt about it. I've had it for less than a day and already I've started fiddling around with it. I installed some software so that it automatically starts once plugged in like a calendar, firefox, and password manager. I use to used my hd player for documents, but that broke down and the first two years of my college work got erased(no backup!!!) so now I have decided to have my music and documents in separate forms. Love the drive or hate the drive? and please write why so that what happened to me with my hd won't happen to others with the flash drive. Just in case this thing here^
love em and can't live without em. i have way to many. protable apps and running linux etc are all the fancy things u can do with a drive...and always backup.
They are the best inventions ever. i carry two usb with me. one 1 GB and the other 512 Mb. i know its small but its very useful. i watch tvb series on my usb in school and stuff. its awsome. i also install softwars on to my usb so that it will work on any computer. such as MPC player.
omg am i the only voter? without flash drives, children in africa wouldnt be able to get their hand-cranked pc. i want one of those... LOL
Seriously, kind of a dumb poll. I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't like a flash drive. The only "problem" is user error related.
I'm kind of neutral they can be handy but sometimes they can screw up on you, i guess i don't have much luck with USB drives huh? I've gone though 2 already one 256mb and one 512mb, kind of gave up on them. Now i use my PSP, its bigger then a USB drive but i carry my PSP around for listening to music around uni so might as well use it to transfer files etc. I got two 4gb memory stick pros for it so not too scared of running out of space. Who else uses other gagets besides a USB flash drive? PSP, Ipod etc....
that is just one of the big drives i have...40g to much..cmon....are u living in the stone ages man..haha...
