I will try to keep this short XD
I started going out with this girl a week ago (she likes me cuz i like to walk in furniture stores (apparently that what she likes to do) and I like her cuz she got a very attractive personality 4 me).

Cuz it is summer break, I pretty much see her everyday. Dine out, bought her flowers, double date etc
The fast part is she met and we cooked dinner 4 my family twice. We some how got into the conversation about kids (how many etc) and when will we get married (or when she wants to get married and how much time I have left to do that) but mostly it is not in a not too serious tone.

Am I missing a step or 2? Should I slow down and maybe just do what normal couples do for the first few months.
The other problem is I going to work abroad for a year. So, it is gonna become Long D relationship. By the time I am back, she is done her study and probably have to go back. Should I ask her to stay here?

It would matter if you could actualy suggest more. I.E. your situation, age, job, etc.,? Sounds like your a kid and in puppy love. HAHA

Because it seems too fast, on any level. Meeting parents in any culture does signify a deep step toward marriage or some commitment.

It's good to talk about marriage and ideals in a relationship, so both parties know. But if that's a constant subject, and based on your current actions, it seems like your moving more in that direction.

    DIG OUT.

But the fada will chop you w/ the knife !!

First of all, how do you meet this gal? Was it through parental arrangement sorta way??

To have dated for only a short week yet met both parents is way beyond fast if you ask me; unless ya'll met through parental arrangement which pretty much mean "marriage" potential.

I have never met anyone through arrangement so I don't know how people feel or what to do. For typical couple, we usually allow time to better know each other .. whether we are compatible for life. There are no steps you have to take .. everything just kinda flows as time goes by .. you can't rush .. both have to be on the same page sorta speak in every way.

waaa 1 week and already cooking dinner for family!! lol fast indeed :p
then again everyone has their own paces.. it's not always about the length of time ...

sometimes i think long distance relationships only work if you've been with them for ages and the relationship is "secure/stable"....

Wasn't parental arrangement. We met through friends!
So, I should let everything flow naturally? she's might return to her home country (not too fond of working at here).

She is studying (1 more year), I am entering the work force (Going abroad to teach).

I dont' think long distance would work in that situation... If it has, then she's worth marrying.
