Tuesday November 21, 2006 Hong Kong TVB announced its ratings for last week. "To Grow with Love's" ending was broadcast on Saturday, with the series' average ratings only at 30 points. The results were below everyone's expectations and did not make it into the top 5 highest rated dramas for 2006. After winning the Best Series Award at TVB's 39th Anniversary, "La Femme Desperado" also grabbed the number 1 spot in ratings for all series broadcast in 2006. Although "Forensic Heroes" had the same ratings as "La Femme Desperado," the total number of audience tuning in was slightly lower, therefore placing it in second place. However, "Forensic Heroes'" ending pulled in 41 points, superceeding "La Femme Desperado" in its finale broadcast. The series with the 3rd highest rating was China's remake of "Return of the Condor Heroes." Since Wong Hui Ming is extremely popular in Hong Kong, his series, "Duke of Mount Deer" will also be broadcast by TVB next year. The other series which made it into the top ten series with the highest rating include: "Bar Benders," "Dance of Passion," "Men in Pain," "To Grow with Love," "Under the Canopy of Love," "Safe Guards" and "A Pillowcase of Mystery." With "La Femme Desperado" grabbing the #1 spot for series broadcast in 2006, Sheren Tang Shui Man said she feels happier than winning an award. Sheren thanked the Lord immediately for allowing her the opportunity to star in such a high-quality series. Sheren also insisted that the high ratings for the series is not only her individual credit; the production crew members all put in hard efforts.
