Tracy Chu (朱千雪) took a one-year leave of absence from TVB to pursue her graduate studies as a full-time student. Enrolled at The Chinese University of Hong Kong since September, Tracy is pursuing a Master of Corporate Communication and Social Sciences. Recently, Tracy attended a wine function and gave an update on her school life. In her first semester of the graduate program, Tracy received an overall “A” average in her classes. Her hard-working classmates motivated her to work harder as well. Since Tracy has to pay for her own classes now, as opposed to her parents footing the bill for her undergraduate studies, she is more mindful about her grades. Earlier, she participated in a two-week travel/ study program in Prague and Vienna and currently has a project to finish. Despite her celebrity status, Tracy did not find it difficult to adjust to being a full-time student again. Quickly making friends with her classmates, she even joined them for a Christmas party earlier. Teased if her classmates included any highly eligible bachelors, Tracy said that 90 percent of her classmates are female. Unable to film dramas due to her busy schedule, Tracy is not struggling with paying the expenses. The 27-year-old still attends the occasional press conference and function to allow her to earn income. However, Tracy stressed that she will concentrate on her studies and will not let work hinder her grades. In the upcoming weeks, Tracy will be promoting for her new dramas K9 Cop <警犬巴打> and EU: Overtime Mission <EU超時任務>. Creds: Oriental Daily
good for her! very respectable that she is going back to school, and tuning out the noise. She is definitely in my opinion, is what a role model should be like
Yup agree with you there! Her and Kate Tsui are doing their own thing and creating more options for themselves besides TVB/Entertainment. Just like Flora Chan is doing, def tune out that noise! But it is nice to see them in a series or movie every so often
Tracy has a bright future in the Ent business, getting that degree might help later if she decides to have another career.
Seems like a very mature responsible person that is keeping all her options open, good for her, education is so important these days!
