Despite losing the 2012 Miss Hong Kong title to fellow contestant Carat Cheung (張名雅), the sweet-faced Tracy Chu (朱千雪) instead won the hearts of netizens. Touted as the public’s true winner, Tracy was initially given meaty roles and was heavily promoted. However, with the emergence of subsequent beauty queens, such as Grace Chan (陳凱琳) and Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), Tracy was unfortunately cast aside. The once-promising road to success appeared bleak, as Tracy’s opportunities began to decrease. Seeing a slow decline in her career, Tracy immediately laid out the path for her future in an alternate direction, enrolling in a Master’s program in Business Communication Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In addition to fulfilling her work obligations with TVB, Tracy has been studying as a full-time student. After two years of hard work and effort, the 28-year-old has finally graduated! Tracy posted photos and shared the good news with fans and left a message. “Last time I went to a graduation ceremony, I vowed that it would be my turn next time. Today, I am finally graduating with my Master’s degree. Finally, I want to thank you for surprising me with your presence!” The thank you was actually in reference to her good friends, Jennifer Shum (岑杏賢) and Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪). The couple surprised Tracy by showing up at her graduation ceremony. Many fans also left congratulatory messages and praised Tracy’s motivation.
