Frequent partners Tony Leung Chiu-wai (梁朝偉) and Takeshi Kaneshiro (金城武) will be back to make audiences laugh in their new romantic comedy See You Tomorrow <摆渡人>, which is slated for a Christmas holiday release on December 23, 2016 in Mainland China.

Produced by Wong Kar-wai (王家衛) and directed by Zhang Jiajia (张嘉佳), See You Tomorrow stars Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro as two “ferry” experts, love doctors who help people deal with relationship breakups. Together, the doctors max out their skills and knowledge to help their clients climb back to the shore.

The film boasts a cast from Greater China, including Angelababy (楊穎), Sandrine Pinna (張榕容), Du Juan (杜鵑), Lynn Hung (熊黛林), Sam Lee (李璨琛), and special appearances by Chris Lee (李宇春) and Lu Han (鹿晗). The film also stars Eason Chan (陳奕迅), who provides the film’s theme song “Let Me Stay By Your Side” <让我留在你身边>.

See You Tomorrow uses comedy as a mask to wrap around a sophisticated and warm story. “The film uses Stephen Chow (周星馳) comedy to tell a Wong Kar-wai story,” said director Zhang Jiajia. “I hope those who watch the film can face pain with positive energy.”
