After an unsuccessful coup attempt, the government is striking hard at all opponents to the Islamic leaning president (former prime minister) Erdogan. In massive sweeps throughout the nation, all professions and occupations of importance are being scrutinized with a fine toothed political comb to ensure their loyalty to the current regime. Will Erdogan become a dictator? Only time will tell. But Turkey, undeniably is one of the most important NATO members, where the US even stores a cache of Nuclear Weapons.
