TVB actress, Sherry Chen (陳爽) and her fiancé, Anthony Leung (梁梓軒), attended a fashion show held at the Sky100, dressed in traditional Japanese wedding attire. Anthony appeared very nervous and stiff at his first public appearance in front of the press, but later expressed that he felt calmer knowing that Sherry would be by his side the entire time. Sherry and Anthony were hired by a Japanese company to promote their products in Hong Kong. Due to the Diaoyu islands incident, China and Japan’s relations have worsened, and Sherry was asked if she was worried about backlash for helping a Japanese company. Sherry stressed, “I love my country, and I stand firm on my position. I hope that the Diaoyu islands dispute will be resolved soon. I believe that the people of both countries can get along.” Sherry revealed that her boyfriend had proposed her during Easter when the couple was vacationing in France. She proudly showed her 5-carat ring, and expressed that Anthony was very sincere in his proposal, writing down all the things he wanted to say to her in an email first. The couple plans to wed on January 20, 2013, the second anniversary of their meeting. They are planning for a large beach wedding in Sanya, Hainan.
