    TVB corrupted actor Ning Jin’s role that landed him arrested in an ICAC investigation

    28 year old Ning Jin (寧進), a TVB actor breakthrough in 2002 was released and freed out with bail from the ICAC headquarters in North Point, Hong Kong on Friday night. The five people including Ning were alleged to have accepted advantages from a director of an advertising company for helping the company secure service contracts related to various entertainment shows produced by the broadcaster. Also, he is one of Stephen Chan Chi Wan’s assistants in alleged TVB corruption case.

    Ning Jin, the TVB performer whose real name is Coson Leung Chi Cheong (梁志昌), worked onstage on Chan's talk show “Be My Guest” on TVB's Pay Vision Lifestyle Channel. He also acts minor roles in TVB series production, his latest series is In the Eye of the Beholder played as (奇) and My Better Half played as (鐵騎士) airing both at the same time during the arrest. The ICAC confirmed that he was a shareholder in the advertising company allegedly involved in the case. According to the company registry, Ning Jin is the sole shareholder of Idea Empire Advertising and Production Company. The advertising company director is Edthancy Tseng Pei Kun, 28, Stephen Chan's former assistant and a former police tactical unit officer. Tseng and Chan are reportedly close friends and have often been in the media spotlight.

    48 hours later, Ning was finally broke out the silence after his arrest. He was on the internet to update his Facebook status. He receives many sympathy messages towards his situation and wrote one sentence to replay that, “I’m ok, thanks” ending with a simile face ( :) ). Ning’s friends on Facebook feel relax when they saw the replied. No further comment on his current situation in the ICAC investigation.
