The costume fitting for new TVB drama, Big Wheel <巨輪>, was held on September 19. Since the drama is set in the 1990s, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠) and other cast members appeared in fashions from the period. Ruco and Edwin wore wigs, in which Ruco’s side-swept bangs were reminiscent of Andy Lau’s (劉德華) iconic hairstyle from the period. With the story of Big Wheel encompassing a two-decade period, the marked changes in Hong Kong entering the new millennium will be explored. Producer Amy Wong (王心慰) announced that the 30-episode drama will also film on location in Macau for one month. Ruco Chan will be involved in a love triangle with Linda Chung and model-turned-actress, Ankie Belkie (貝安琪). Ruco was uncertain whether he will have any bed scenes with his female costars. “I feel very fortunate; I have a kissing scene with Linda in the drama, but it will not be too passionate. I also have a [kiss] with Ankie as well, which may go beyond simply kissing.” Both Ruco and Linda were eager to collaborate together for the first time. Ruco praised Linda’s acting skills, which were able to move the audiences. Linda believes that she will generate good sparks with Ruco onscreen. Linda will portray sisters with good friend, Leanne Li (李亞男). As the duo had once shared an apartment together, they were extremely close and understood each others’ personalities well. It will not be difficult for the women to portray sisters onscreen. Edwin Siu said that he was envious that Ruco and Linda will portray a romantic couple. Edwin said, “I only have Kristal Tin (田蕊妮) in the drama. Kristal’s long-hair is very refreshing. I will portray my character from age twenties to forties.” Other cast members in Big Wheel include Louise Lee (李司棋), Susan Tse (謝雪心), Louis Yuen (阮兆祥), Louis Cheung (張繼聰), Joseph Lee (李國麟), Gregory Lee (李泳豪), and Steven Wong (黃嘉樂).
