Filling the time slot of TVB’s The Last Healer in Forbidden City <末代御醫> will be Daddy Dearest <爸B有話兒>, which premieres April 25. The family drama produced by Poon Ka-tak (潘嘉德) centers its story on two young dads who reenter their children’s’ lives and learn how to be better fathers. Business-minded Kuk Chi-keung (Johnson Lee 李思捷) gets the challenge of a lifetime when his ex-wife remarries. He suddenly finds himself a single dad when his young son, Kuk Siu-nam (Marcus Lo 羅梓龍), moves back in to live with him. Though Chi-keung is savvy when it comes to handling money, he is at a total loss when it comes to being a father to his son. Fortunately Chu Lai-fa (Mandy Wong 黃智雯), who operates an education center, lends a helping hand to Chi-keung, and he slowly learns what it takes to be a good father. Famous architect Sheung Nim-syu (Jason Chan 陳智燊) is a workaholic. Child-rearing responsibilities were given to his wife Ho Lok-chi (Candice Chiu 趙希洛) and his own father, Sheung San (Pat Poon 潘志文). When his wife and father enter disagreements on how to raise the kids, Nim-syu has no choice but to switch roles with his wife, and learn how to be a stay-at-home dad to take care of his older daughter Sheung Yat (Pearl Chan 陳偲穎) and younger son Sheung Yi (Chan Pak-hei 陳柏熹), who is entering primary school. Meanwhile, the unemployed Chi-keung lands a job at Lai-fa’s education center and befriends Nim-syu, who takes his children to the same center.
