Lawrence Ng (吳啟華), Michael Tao (陶大宇), Jessica Hsuan (宣萱), William So (蘇永康) and more attended a press conference on Wednesday to promote their upcoming drama The Hiddens <隱世者們>, which will be coming to TVB’s myTV SUPER streaming service on September 22. Created by Gary Tang (鄧特希), The Hiddens brings back the cast from TVB’s popular legal series File of Justice <壹號皇庭> in a new crime thriller. It centers on an undercover agent (Lawrence Ng) who is recruited to perform dangerous missions that are deemed too risky for the agency to do on its own. On playing the role of a secret agent, Lawrence said, “I had to fight a lot! I told producer Gary Tang to not treat me like Donnie Yen (甄子丹)! Fight all ten at once!” (How did you cope?) “I barely managed! Having to stay up to film overnight was difficult because I got used to waking up early and sleeping early. And I had to constantly fight.” (Any injuries?) “Thankfully none! I did my warm-ups.” Jessica Hsuan’s Kiss? Michael Tao: “It was Great” Though Jessica and Michael are close friends, and have played a couple more than once, Jessica said her kissing scene with Michael in The Hiddens was rather awkward. “I took the initiative to kiss him this time,” said Jessica. “I rarely get to play characters like this. It felt kind of awkward, but Michael and I are great partners. I wasn’t worried.” (How intense was your kiss?) “Definitely not light pecks! But it wasn’t as intense as I originally thought.” Michael laughed at Jessica’s response and said, “We’ve kissed many times before, but this was definitely the best one. It was actually comfortable! Maybe it’s because the director was a rookie and felt embarrassed to ask us to kiss again.” (You want to kiss her again?) “I wouldn’t mind!” Asking if Michael finds women who take initiatives to be more attractive, he smiled and said, “It really depends! But when we’re in the mood, everything is attractive!” (Any happy news to announce?) “When it happens, you can bet on it!” (Dating?) “I do have female friends.” (Living together?) “I’m already old. It doesn’t matter! As long as everyone is happy. I think it’s time for me to meet some new friends anyways. Being single can be quite sad.” Nat Chan (陳百祥), who makes a guest appearance in the series, said he never got the chance to see Gary Tang while he was filming the show. He joked, “He’s actually the guy who’s hidden!” The Hiddens will also be premiering on Malaysia’s Astro Wah Lai Toi on September 22. “The Hiddens” Trailer
Dang love all the veterans, surprised Lawrence does the action scenes but cool, looking forward to this. Jessica still look as hot as ever!
This looks good, reminds me a bit of Jason bourne.. Unfortunately I don't recognise the 'younger' looking cast members
The point is, TVB hasnt been doing a good job with their prime shows. Instead, they have tried all sorts of gimmicks by working with Mainland China on cross over films that go beyond lame and cliche. Is this streaming service like Hulu or Netflix? Anyone who actually grew up with TVB and Hong Kong milk tea and knowing the difference between Causeway Bay and Kowloon can tell you that TVB dramas were special for a reason. To this day, TVB dramas are still directed and filmed the same way as 20 years ago; perhaps much lower in standards when compared to other networks and therefore a lack of viewers. But that‘s not the point. The point of bringing these actors back is to help a good story. We dont need to see 20 second close ups of Grace Chans fake face waking up to Edwin or her sarcastic face yell, "Bryan?" in 4 Bars 3 Stools and Eliza Sam doing fake Lion Dances. And yes, WE DO NOT NEED TO SEE SISLEY CHOI RIDE BIKES WITH SAMMY AMD HIM LA. We need to see great stories with family values and veteran actors who give that nostalgia feel.
