With "Twilight" rising at the box office this weekend, Summit Entertainment has officially announced its first sequel, "New Moon," Variety reported on Saturday. "Twilight," the teen vampire romance that's generated an obsessive following among young audiences, earned $35.7 million on Friday, including a whopping $7 million from Thursday midnight screenings. Fang fans won't have to wait long for more -- the studio is already moving forward with the follow-up. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has signed on to pen "New Moon" and possible third installment "Eclipse," and star Robert Pattinson said the "New Moon" script is ready to go. "The script is already done for the second one," he told the Seattle Times earlier this week, noting he's signed on himself for two more movies. The "Twilight" films stem from the popular four-part series of novels by Stephenie Meyer, which includes "Twilight," "New Moon," "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn." credits: msnbc + icydk
OMG...yay...i was squealing all through the movie..lol..i saw twilight 2 times in theaters already... and im like addicted...lol...i probably remember some quotes from it...lol
OMG! i can't wait to watch the rest of these movies but they better not cut out alot of parts from the book!!!! and i wish it was a lttle longer than 2hrs =] i wonder if they going to make breaking dawn
i still havent watched it... but in response to oOolalas comment... if it makes a lot of money, an lots of pple are into it...then think they will continue on making the movies up till the final book....eg the Harry Potter Series....etc....
the first vampire movie i've ever seen that didn't have sex scenes... i gotta say i'm a lil disappointed at the movie... they dragged it a little... n it seemed more like a teenage romance... but i guess i shouldn't be surprised since it's originally a children's fiction... i'm up to the 3rd book so far n find the Twilight series quiet interesting coz i love vampires... but Bella Swan is annoying the crap out of me... she's just a gloomy whinger drowning in self pity and wants everything her way... arrrggghhh...
wasnt all that impressed with the film after all the hype but i quite like the genre of these films so will defo go see it =D if your like twilight, should give the nightworld books a try..different story for each book..
i cant wait to watch this.. i hope they make all 4 books into movies, its such a big hit! Whenever i read the books, i can picture each of the actors as their character.. so excited!!!!!!
