Well I guess the ones living in the US better start encrypting all their Internet traffic then :)

ISP have always known what their users are downloading.
Now they just have to openly admit it and work with the major labels to come to an agreement.

Makes you wonder, what happened to privacy ? I know ISP and Telcos can have access to all your info if they wanted to, but your privacy should be protected by law ... not in the US ??? It's like the law enforcement tapping into your Internet connection 24/7 just in case you decide to pirate something. Hold on, I believe that's called a police state no ?

hmm... I wonder how much money is the RIAA bribing ISPs for them to come to this agreement.

"...should be protected by law" you ask? But what exactly is law? If you hadn't already realized, law is whatever a bunch of guys sitting in the pockets of the MPAA wants it to be. The only recourse we, the people have, is to vote those guys out of office. Make the overturning of copyright law THE primary MAKE OR BREAK issue of an election. Tell your congressman and senator, that unless they overturn copyright laws, YOU WILL VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE. Spread the word. Make this more important than abortion, gun control, school lunch, whatever. As the younger crowd becomes older and realizes that voting is the key to how this country is run, they will eventually change the voice and direction of Washington.

Copyright was originally intended to protect creativity. Instead powerful commercial interest have subverted that intent into protecting golden eggs for themselves.

VOTE FOR THE REPEAL OF COPYRIGHT!

We need to sneak in a mulligan clause into the ballot so we can drop everybody from government and start re-electing new ones.
