http://hothardware.com/News/Swedens-UltraModern-Underground-Data-Center/ that wuld be a fucking cool place to work
lol well hopefully that lighting is only for the photos.. working 8 hours in a place that dim would be murder
We have had these in the US also. Various cold war anachronistic and decommissioned relics litter the landscape throughout the states can be had from government sources for a song. Many of these things had simply been abandoned by the US government. These include items such as missile silos (minus the missile of course), munitions bunkers, and fallout shelters in various stages of disrepair. If you don't mind the fact that they're all fixer-uppers, the ideal thing about these places are that they're far from the beaten tract; so if privacy is your thing you too can have a hovel hefty enough to survive a nuclear blast, located away from prying nosy neighbors. Below are assorted links to such stories: http://www.boingboing.net/2007/09/26/titan-missile-silo-f.html http://nhpr.org/node/18996 http://edition.cnn.com/2003/US/Central/08/02/silo.sweet.silo/ http://www.cjonline.com/indepth/missilesilos/stories/123002_kan_silo.shtml
