After WW2, tons of dropped but unexploded bombs and other volatile munitions remain littered across Europe, sometimes laying undiscovered in back yards or buried underground just beneath the surface. With their discovery, these dormant but still extremely deadly, dangerous and unstable items are periodically discovered when construction or renovation reveals them for the first time since the 1940's.

One such discovery in Germany led to the evacuation of thousands as police worked to remove the deadly item. Other sites have been well known but are too unstable to remove.
