American photographer Stephanie Sinclair is the winner of the international photo competition “UNICEF Photo of the Year”. Her photo shows a wedding couple in Afghanistan who could not be more opposite. The groom, Mohammed, looks much older than his 40 years. The bride, Ghulam, is still a child; she just turned 11.

And culture is used to justify human sacrifice and human mutilation against their will. Just because a culture say it needs to be done doesn't mean its right.

    ^ tru what zero said.
But dim8sum also has a point, how can we as outsiders judge whether their actions are right or wrong? who decides that what we do now is the correct "universal" law...

A person's sexual preference only affect themselves.

well i think you can also compare it with eating dog meat
like chinese like to eat dogs cats and other things which really disgust the western world
but still .... think about it does a 11 yr old girl really wants to marry an old man
come on the world is evolving every seconds
we learn from our past to be better dont we

  17. Yeah, I don't think it can be intrinsically wrong (though it seems that way). We're just being a bit ethnocentric here.

Either way, it's still sick LOL
