Hey, I was wondering, what is the point of user screening? I saw umm....b-lee's post about trying to protect the members and stuff, but if a customs/internet cop does show up, Im sure that such a simplistic background check would not stop him, right? So is there a reason to be background checking? There are so many ways i could think that somoene with ill intentions could get in. Also, I read in some post that If thats true, does this mean that leeching is okay? Lol. No offence of course, just wondering about all this stuff since I joined (personally, im trying to download 本草药王) thanks for your time
leeching isnt really th egreatest thing to do since they dont really contribute to the forum and it just kills the whole sense at least just participate a little bit i do agree that post counts should be put as requirements but then the requirement is fairly low like 10 or 20 posts which anyone can just post withint a matter of half an hour but trying to contribute is a good gesture the end choice is urs really
thats what i was wondering too when i had to do the user screening, i could think of many ways a cop could pass that screening if they wanted to, lol but i think PA's just doing the best they can do, i would do the same too if i ran a site like this =p
The screening method isn't perfect. Better then nothing. Anyways, I personally think that people uploading besides the mods should put the post count requirement to 100 or higher. The mods can't exactly do that, since it would destroy the point PA.
i think the reason why the post count was dropped was that too many people just spam and ruin the forum plus PA has a relaxed atmosphere and the mods didnt want to force people to post and contribute
some people just aint nothing constructive to type, they came for downloads and thats all their minds are focused on, so they spam for dloads
haha too much leechers now for real, makes me want to stop uploading, and worst of all they cant even click on "Thanks"
You can't expect everyone to post. I have a number of sites bookmarked, but I rather not post in every single one. I'll be stuck at my computer 24/7 then.
