Reports of Hikaru Utada releasing a second English album have now been officially confirmed. U.Blog has spotted a press release from Vivendi and Universal Music which lists the new Utada release in their schedule for the second half of fiscal 2008, which is the next six months. damn both utada and boa try to hit the american markets, but i really predict them to fail, Boa probably worst since her english is mediocre, utada has the skills but dunno about the appeal, hopefully she has a chance. hope yuna is doing one also since she's good at english songs.
This is actually Utada's 2nd English album. Her first didn't do that well... but I predict it'll do better than BoA's.
she had ovarian cancer at 19 and was removed with surgery and has not relapsed since. her first album was horrible because she tried to be too creative, the best tracks were produced by timbaland , they tried to make her sexy in her mvs but shes not so it was epic fail. I LOVED Utada's first three Japanese albums. I stopped paying attention after her debut English effort; it was really disappointing. I think if she did it in the style of her Japanese albums, then it'd be more marketable. Obviously, that experimentation in that type of music didn't work so well.
O_O I love Utada Hikaru's music! I can't wait to hear what her english album would sound like!!! (Her hair is short XD) Hmmm BoA vs Utada Hikaru.......... such big names! I think I like Utada more though >.< Can't wait!
