Does anyone know a good and easy to use video editing program. I would like to remove a section of a rm/vol file. Thanks.

VirtualDub is great program - simple, but powerful. There's a lot of mods of this program, e.g. NanDub, VirtualDubMod. But I'm not sure if they support RM files.

Good thing about those programs are they're freeware ;)

Btw, what is 'vol'? Never seen this filetype before.

I just found this award-winning software which should do the job, Ultra RM Converter. You can find it here: http://www.aone-soft.com/rmconverter.htm

    Info about the app:
Ultra RM Converter is a tool to help you convert RealMedia(*.RM,*.RMVB) files to AVI, DivX, Xvid, MPEG1, MPEG2, VCD, SVCD, DVD(*.VOB) files. With the fast and powerful RM/RMVB decoder inside, Ultra RM Converter can support almost all RM/RMVB files, even RealPlayer has not been installed. The main features include: Batch convert RM, RMVB files to various format files; NTSC/PAL setting options for DVD, VCD, SVCD exporting; Change the video bitrate, audio bitrate, framerate, image size etc as you like. Very user-friendly interface and easy to use. Very quick in conversion speed and no quality is lost!

    It's shareware btw.

Sorry typing mistake. Should be "vob" not "vol". Will try what you have suggested.

    Many thanks Haneo.

Adobe Premier's the beast. I've played about with it a few times and it's more complicated.
