ust had one of those camcorders that uses an 8GB flash memory card instead of tapes or discs to record on. It saves in divx or mpeg2. On my laptop at work I have the video editing software that comes with Windows Vista. But at home I have a desktop computer (AMD dual core 6000) I think this would be better for video editing as it has more memory, bigger/faster hard disk + the dual core cpu. But my desktop computer has Ubuntu Linux as the OS, as the original Vista installation messed up totally when I updated the motherboard chipset drivers from the Windows Update site. lol.

What's available out there for video editing for Linux? I don't need anything really fancy. I just need to do basic editing, add titles, and add music and sound effects. Then either burn to DVD or save in a format compatible with YouTube.
