Hey, I just got Windows Vista, its an upgrade cd and I was wondering if I could use it multiple times? either on the same PC as in reformatting or on multiple PCs. Any help would be great!
^you can use the disk as many times as you want, but the key may only be used once well that was for xp but im sure it will be the same for vista
You're not supposed to use it on more than 1 PC nor are you supposed to reinstall Vista on the same PC multiple times. After a while your key won't "work" and you'll have to give Microsoft a call. http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9590_22-6126379.html
^yeh the key is only for one computer but the cd can be used many times as long as different legit keys are used everytime the question posted by OP isnt clear enough to say which ones (s)hes talking about

keys are for one pc only unless you got a corporate license or something however, it also depends on whether your vista is oem or retail. OEM only allows you to reinstall on the same motherboard and Maybe certain Hardware. , retail allows you to upgrade your computer and still use your copy of vista. ________ 717c
u can install multi times on the same pc, if your bios are activated w/ vista...u don't have to worry about using the same key multi times..else u gonna have to call MS for activiation
