[HIDE]SHAMED Wayne Rooney was fighting to save his marriage last night after he was caught up in his second vice girl scandal. Rooney, 24, was accused of sleeping with £1200-a-night hooker Jenny Thompson, 21, while wife Coleen was pregnant. A family friend said: "Coleen has been torn apart by this. "She has every right to grab their son and walk out. "She was absolutely shellshocked. She thought Wayne had grown up and become a man, especially after having baby Kai. Now she knows he's a sleazy so-and-so." It is the second time Rooney has been embroiled in a prostitution sex scandal. And while Coleen forgave him six years ago, pals fear the worst this time round. According to the family friend, Rooney tried to play down the latest scandal to Coleen, insisting it was "no big deal". "The most shocking thing was that he told her as if he was delivering the weather forecast," the friend added. "He made out it was just boys being boys. He mumbled an apology as if he'd just spilled a glass of milk." Last night, Rooney was refusing to take calls from close friends and relatives. The striker was aware the stories about an affair with the prostitute - which started last year - were circulating before the World Cup. But he was still left dumbstruck by the fallout when they finally emerged yesterday. Rooney was set to star for England in their Euro Championship match against Switzerland tomorrow. But England boss Fabio Capello is deeply concerned about Rooney's state of mind. He met the striker after training yesterday at England's team hotel in Hertfordshire and the Italian is worried whether the striker will be mentally fit. The England team are due to fly to Switzerland at 10.30am today and even if Rooney gets on the plane, there is a possibility he may not play. FA chiefs insisted last night it was "business as usual" but Capello is ready to offer Rooney a leave of absence if he needs to go home to try to save his marriage. Hooker Jenny Thompson claimed she met Rooney at a casino in Manchester in June last year. She said she and a pal had a three-in-abed romp with Rooney a week later. Thompson claimed she and Rooney met for sex several times after that. She said: "Wayne didn't seem to feel too much about what he was doing to his wife. "I really wrestled with my conscience several times." Thompson said Rooney stopped using her after his son Kai was born in November. Yesterday, the star's cousin Natalie Rooney, 20, branded him "disgusting". Writing on Facebook, she said: "Other footballers have girls begging to have sex with them. He pays for it." Rooney was 18 when it was revealed he had visited a backstreet Liverpool brothel two years earlier. He allegedly enjoyed the services of a 48-year-old gran in a rubber catsuit. The latest sex shame could cost Rooney millions in lost sponsorship deals.
