Last week, Angie Cheong (張慧儀) and Elvina Kong (江欣燕) accepted a radio interview to promote their new TVB drama Never Dance Alone <女人俱樂部>, a comedy drama produced by Eric Tsang (曾志偉). Never Dance Alone, which also stars Carman Lee (李若彤), Rachel Lee (李麗珍), Fennie Yuen (袁潔瑩), Flora Chan (陳慧珊), and Gloria Yip (葉蘊儀), premiered on April 21, 2014 and is slated to run for 32 episodes. The viewership ratings for Never Dance Alone have so far been less than stellar, but Angie and Elvina both expressed their confidence in the series. Elvina also said, “Ratings aren’t important! We all had a great time filming it!” The two actresses said they have made lifetime friendships while shooting the series, and said they are thankful towards Eric Tsang for bringing them together. “We need to treat him to a meal!” Recently, there have been reports about Angie Cheong being pursued by wealthy restaurateur Luo Dingmin (羅定民) in Mainland China. They met through a mutual friend while Angie and her 10-year-old adopted son, Hanson, were still living in Guangzhou three years ago. When Angie moved to Beijing for her health food business, Luo Dingmin also followed to give Angie his support. It was rumored that Luo Dingmin has already proposed to Angie. Angie’s relationship life has not made headlines since 2003, the year Angie announced that she broke ties with her abusive ex-fiancé. The 43-year-old said she is not actively seeking a relationship as of now, but did admit that she and Luo Dingmin are close friends. When it comes to finding a partner, Angie said, “Not just for Mr. Luo, but for all prospective partners. He must love my son!” She also added that Luo Dingmin takes very good care of Hanson.
