I am currently looking around to get a phone which has the capability of tracking my schedules, contact... have WiFi, GSM & 3G connectivity and GPS built-in.

I know Nokia will be launching it's N95 which looks kind of cool with its feature. However, recent press also mentioned that Microsoft will be launching it's Windows Mobile 6 in 2H'07, that has all the features that I mentioned above as well.

Which product/platform will you choose and why?

Thanks a bunch for your comments... ;)

be very aware that there are difference in the term "smart phone". They range from a full fledged convergence device running the full pocket pc os, the smart phone os and then they symbian os.
All but the symbian offers very easy integration with the windows os and the office suite. For ease of use i would recommend a windows device. The smartphone os runs on devices without a touch screen while the pocket pc phone os runs devices with a touch screen.
As much as there is the hype around mobile 6, its not a full os upgrade, it is more of a service pack style os.
Carefully consider the ease of use and integration/flexibility of a windows os device vs a symbian os.

If you are the type that likes to tweak and customize their phone, I would recommend a Windows Mobile platform. Otherwise, I'd recommend a Symbian. Linux based phones are also starting to get popular.

I used to have a Symbian phone but I now have a WM phone. There are many sites out there that discuss mods and other 3rd party software to enhance the performance/usability of the phone. Unfortunately, one of the larger communities is being attacked by Microsoft at the moment. Don't get too caught up on the WM6 hype. It's still very buggy and I would not really recommend using it until a year after release. Besides, the latest WM5 AKU is more stable and offers better performance.

Check-out this new device from Dopod... Looks cool, but at a very high price.

That's a rebadged version of the HTC Athena. You can find a full review here
HTC makes some pretty sweet phones that's prolly why so many companies rebadge their products (ie O2, Qtek, i-mate etc.). I personally have the Cingular 8125 (rebadged HTC Wizard)

I'd also keep an eye out for the Samsung F700 aka "iPhone Killer"...

    Indi? You mean Indian?
I believe HTC is a Taiwanese company.

    Oh... you meant Independant...
Yea, their growth has been amazing. In just 10 years time, they are now a leader in PPCs.
