Hi guys, As some of you guys may know I'm still on my holiday in HK. I'm planning to get myself a new mobile phone. I have been waiting to buy the Sony Ericsson X1 for ages but today I had a try and play around with it, i found it lagged a bit. so I'm thinking of another phone but I'm not very sure yet. I'm Currently thinking of the Sony Ericsson X1 or the Samsung Omnia i908. So I would like to know what you guys think or recommend some other phone. Like to hear your opinion Thanks, an0nymous.
iPhone 3G? Overrated and overpriced but it still a nice/cool/above average phone that still got some wow effect left.
hmmz.. HTC, i heard there ain't that reliable phone tho. am i wrong?? Looks pretty good but how well does it work? i will check it out tomorrow maybe. Price HTC HK$6,980 , SE X1 HK$5,980, i908 HK$5,280 UPDATE: just did some research on the HTC touch HD. it looks like its gonna be the winner but that price tag is pretty high. i think i need to spend less.
^yeh its expensive, but in my mind it is the best one out of em all. do what you did with the x1 and try it out physically and then decide
not many places allow you test it out because its still very new and they dont have many units. i went pretty fair last time to check the x1 out. dont want to go there again. its too fair. i will check the shops near me and see.
^ fair enough the only thing i can see the x1 having an advantage is a proper qwerty keyboard and cheaper. but otherwise the touch is just so much more appealing, well to me and i can live without a flash on my phone camera
the htc and x1 are almost identical in terms of hardware spec... i was undecided between the 2... but i picked the x1 in the end - the extra push buttons make it much more friendly to use.
i have heard though that the htc touch hd has a rele gd 5 megapixel camera which takes rele gd photos during the day. plus i think the htc touch hd looks better so i would go for that if i had the money lol.
megapixels isn't everything the cam is just a bonus really, i almost never use the cam on my phones. u seen an all black x1? looks way better than silver.
yeh. im looking at getting the touch HD. going to check it out tomorrow afternoon. then if i really like it, i will get it in 2 weeks time when the price drops a little bit more.
^how much is it likely to cost? cause i might be getting one and need to weigh up whether to get it sim free from hk or just on uk contract
