My exs have generally given me jewelry/clothes/useful things on our anniversaries. I've gotten a diamond pendant, a diamond bracelet, a set of diamond earrings, a nice leather jacket from D&G, a burton snowboard, gift certificates, etc. Then I have exs who've given me presents that they really wanted for themselves...like: a nintendo ds (I already have one!) a rear spoiler for a car (not my car!) a 6-disc changer for a car (I had an mp3 player) Anyway, what you get for each other really depends on how long the 2 of you have been together. If it's a girl and you've been together for quite some time, get her a gucci handbag with a matching wallet. If it's a guy, get him something related to his hobby like gadgets or car parts.
i am planning to get this for my gf for our 4 year anniversary which is next weekend. think it looks ok? do girls prefer bracelet, necklace or earings more?
For a girl, definitely something thoughtful and romantic. (for example, a chicken stuffed animal and a mouse stuffed animal if one of you is born in the year of the chicken and the other is born in the year of the mouse.) For a guy, I think things that are more useful. I remember I gave my boyfriend a personalized puzzle with the picure of us and he really didn't like it because it was of no use. I did make a photo slide show recorded on a CD with pictures of us from our entire relationship. There was background music and I put the pictures in the order it was taken in our relationship. So it was like a playback of all the happy times we spent together. My boyfriend really liked that one and he actually teared. ^.^
