Just wondering which service provider everyone is using and some comments about them.

I'm currently using T-mobile but I want to switch to either cingular or verizon. More so verizon because I heard it gives better reception. What do you guys think?

i have cingular... but thas because t mobile doesn't have reception in my house or in our little area... otherwise i'd get t-mobile cus all my friends have that plan and free mobile to mobile, plus they have cooler looking phones (depending on where you go to set up the plans) i heard that the asian places have pretty neat phones imported from overseas... the only good thing about cingular is roll over mins...but i don't like how text messages cost 10 cents to send AND recieve... that really sucks!

I think I've had contracts with just about every mobile carrier out there.

When I first got a cell phone, it was with at&t. The service was fine, until 9pm. at 9pm, when nights start, it was impossible to make calls. When my contract expired, I terminated my relations with them.

After that, I went with sprint. Sprint was good, until the phone became dysfunctional. I had one of the flip phones, and every time I got a call, I wouldn't be able to hear anything. I had to use my headset at all times. After the world trade center crumbled, I had no service whatsoever...for a while. So, I terminated with them.

After I moved to CA, I went with t-mobile. I was out in downtown, and I had no reception whatsoever. Needless to say, I canceled the contract. Whats the point of having a phone if you can't use it, EVER?

So I switched to nextel. The phone service sucked, but the cb part was awesome. Since most of my friends had nextel, it came in really handy, but that got old real quick, so I canceled after about 6 months.

Then I switched back to at&t. The service was great, and the phones were good too. I had it for about 2 years, but I had 2 phones. Towards the end, I wasn't getting my messages until 3 days later, I wasn't able to receive calls, and oftentimes, I wouldn't be able to dial out. So I had no choice but to cancel when they tried to con me into signing a 2 year contract for a freaking new phone.

So I switched over to verizon. So far, the service has been acceptable. I reprogrammed my phone a few months back, and I'm noticing that some of my calls are getting dropped.

Thinking about switching to cingular now...

wow you guys have bad experience... I started off with AT&T no problems, then i went to Cingular for two years, no problems, now im switching to T-mobile in a few months. Phones are a pain these days, no good phones in terms of looks and functionality. Getting Overseas phones means no warranty, you break it your stuck with it. I never had problems with ATT or Cingular in terms of reception but then again i live in the suburbs. My current usage will be in between LA and San Diego, so i'll see about T-mobile reception in the Southern California area. Cingular though has some good reception. I am able to call almost in all places.

t-mobile to cingular and back to t-mobile. only reason i'm with t-mobile is that they have a decent family plan at a somewhat fair rate. i get reception in most areas except inside a movie theater and up in the mountains for some unknown reason. i wish verizon didn't cost so much or i would have switch to them.
