I'm not trying to sound bipolar or anything like that, but sometimes when I do personality tests (for a good reason, not a random I don't know who I am kind of reason), there are questions that ask you to rank whatever adjectives they have listed out for you from the ones you are most to the ones you don't think you are. For example, I'm both shy and talkative (in my opinion). Some people tell me I'm super quiet while other people say, "you talk too much". Do you think you act differently around different people? If so, what is your "true personality"? Or is a person ultimately made up of all these different extremes that show themselves at different times? -cool -shock -^_^ -mellow -ohmy -tongue2 -nono >.<
I think Im a bit the same everywhere... I like to joke around and I love to talk... So all the people know me as a very outgoing person and some might even find me a sillyhead... I can be real quiet sometimes if I dont feel comfortable or if i dont like the other person im with... Also when Im meeting clients with my colleagues im very quiet hehe... But overall... its just the very silly angie that everyone knows

^no, it's okay. sorry about this thread. and i don't have a really good memory. no, i don't have alzheimer's but i didn't keep in mind your thread when i created this one (although i do remember it now that you show me it). and i guess with this thread, my intent wasn't to find out if you act differently around different people, but rather what is your true personality? if that makes sense to you. ehh, whatever. and thanks for stumping it. i just say whatever's on my mind sometimes and don't have the patience to search through pages and pages to see if something similar to it was made already.

people are different with different people in different setting. school, work, bars, home friends, self, family, strangers, cops
reli didn't mean to stump it.. back to topic: I dun really know exactly what my real personality is.. or if there is even sth concrete called personality. But if there is, I believe it is defined by the various behaviours one adopts at different times. But since various circumstances encourage different behaviour, it seems difficult to pinpoint any particular personality.
hmm.. i don't know. i guess it depends on the person, whether they tend to adapt to their situation or not, like "blend in" with their surroundings kind of a thing. i can think of a friend who acts the same, regardless. she acts the same around her friends, parents and teachers although of course, she'd show more respect for her parents and teachers, she basically acts the same around everyone.
^so basically she's extroverted and can make most people feel comfortable (around her). the reason why i say most is because i can't prove that all people around her are comfortable; as far as i know, nobody dislikes her or anything of that sort. she reaches out to those she sees alone and perhaps are "outcasts". she's friendly, doesn't do rash things (IMO) - handles situatios in a wise manner, keeps her temper in check and tries to keep the peace. i look up to her as a role model (but of course with every human, there are bound to be negative aspects to character as well and i will say that there are things about her character i disagree with). she has an open relationship with her parents, like if her parents burped loudly or something, she'd say "eww, gross", which gives me the impression that she acts basically the same in front of her parents and friends (but not only b/c of that one instance, other instances combined).
