HI. I need your help. I'm getting a new contract and I don't know which phone is best to buy. My options are Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro, BlackBerry Curve 8520 and HTC Wildfire S.
For social? SMS and browsing the internet. Just want a phone that lasts long and doesn't keep having techinal issues
social wise i would go for blackberry. BBM, Texting, Facebook, Twitter, E-mail is very convenient and you have a qwerty keyboard. Blackberrry is reliable as long as you take care of it and not drop it constantly
Yeah, I'm good at looking after my phones. Thanks for the advice, think I'll get the Blackberry phone then!
Go with the HTC phone, they make very good product, they have been making android phones for along time before they even became popular. Support and updates are very good from them also.
just played a bit with the htc desire s gave it for mum to use - not too bad i must say. prefer it over the previous desires
out of your choice i would say go for the sony ericsson xperia mini pro. gets the best of both words. keypad that u get with blackberry and the android system.
I'll go with the blackberry for your choices above... I do however highly recommend and love the iPhone. Many people claims to hate it without giving it a try but if you own one yourself, within less than a month, you'll be truly in love with it and never want to switch! As for myself, I need a qwerty keyboard.. must have! I stay texting all day
out of that selection i would say its a blackberry, but smasung s2 or the new s3 is good of course the iphone series is the leading in the phone market
Not an iphone fan er Dan? I have my iphone4 for about 2 years and probably had to reboot it twice. Everything on it just works including all the apps. It's a solid phone. If it weren't for the AT&T network I would've give it a 10 out of 10. I had my shares of BB, windows phone and HTC phones and none of them can compare to the performance and stability. I'm not just a user, I'm a developer and beta tester for my company and I get to test all the phones for our business before release to our employees. Oh and I do have apple stocks, so maybe just a little bias LOL
It's not the iphone I'm not a fan of, it's the (certain) people who buy them. I actually don't have a problem with Apple or the iOS devices, I think they're great devices in their own way. But to make biased and uneducated claims against other devices is ridiculous. Owning Apple stocks is great, I hope your stocks are doing well. I would have invested in Apple stocks if I knew anything about it when they were growing. Apple as a company is a business innovator, and there's a reason why Apple is so successful. It's the way the run their business. As for the iOS devices, they certainly are great devices. They offer stability and quality of iOS on their devices. Why? Because they have less devices to cater to. Great business decision on APPL's behalf. iOS is optimized for less devices, which is easier to maximize performance. The BB curve is a great device. The Lumia is a great device. The HTC Nexus One, Motorola Droid, Samsung Galaxy S2/3/Nexus are great devices. Hell, the iPhone is a great device. The reason why people think some phones are crap is because that particular phone doesn't suit their requirements. Simple as that. If you're a developer, then that should be obvious to you. But to say Phone A is better than Phone B is retardedly ignorant. A is better than B on WHAT conditions? iOS is better in terms of number of apps. Android is better in terms of customizability. BB is better in terms of corporate infrastructure compatibility and support. Windows 8 is getting there with its ease of use OS. Those are obviously some of many, but it all depends on your requirements and a user. Simple as that. I recommended the iPad and Win8 phone to my non-tech mom. I recommended the BB PlayBook for my business executive dad. I recommended Android to my semi-tech savvy brother. TL;DR: I hold no bias against companies and their products/services. It's their uneducated users whom I am not a fan of. If you can justify to me why A is better than B, then I respect your position. Problem is, most don't know why A is better than B.
If those are your only options i'll go for the HTC...but if you can get other plans the go for an IPhone!
I take back my previous reply to you. Fuck Apple Inc and everything relevant to APPL. http://www.theverge.com/2012/5/15/3022907/at-t-htc-one-x-blocked-at-us-customs-infringing-apple "Android's messaging app and browser infringed upon Apple patent #5,946,647, which covers automatically converting things like phone numbers and email addresses into actionable links that open a menu of options." They're going to be banning the two Android phones based on those grounds. That "patent" has been around since before iOS. I can write that in about 1 line of code. They're going to fucking patent every single line of code that they've stolen. And I'm waiting on the fanboys who are going to say: "Oh look, Android is copying iOS again." Fuck you Apple. Lick a nut.
LOL....I'm with you on these intellectual patent lawsuits. They are pretty lame. But you have to look at the big picture. You have to give Steve Job props for seeing how his product will work and securing the necessary patents way before the iphone. I'm sure he paid the guy who invented the codes for this patent. I guess that's what you can do when you have more money than the U.S gov't and thousands of lawyers working around the clock to beat the system. It all boils down to money and dominance. Android can still use the technology, they just have to pay Apple a licensing fee. LOL I don't give a rat's ass about this. As long as my Apple stocks are doing well and looks like they are doing their job and making their investors happy! I bought Apple between $7-$13 a share. So I'm making a killing and can possibly retire when the stock hits $1000 a share! From what I'm seeing, everyone is licking Apple's nutz! LOL
If you've read my first reply to your post, you'll find that I do nothing but praise Steve Jobs. I fully understand the business innovations Apple (or rather Steve Jobs) has made. So you're saying that it's all right for Apple to steal other technology without paying licensing, whereas Google needs to? What made Apple so special? You're right, you don't give a rat's ass about this, because if you did, you would realize that companies steal technologies back and forth. It's not just people stealing from Apple, Apple is stealing from others. That's what people hugely fail to see. They see Apple as a fucking God. Yes, they see Apple as a Godlike entity. From what I see, people have no fucking clue what they're talking about, and still want to say something without having a single ounce of understanding to back up their claims. Edit: I promise you your stocks will be worth less than a piece of cat shit if you fail to realize the instability that will ensue if Apple continues this bullshit. Apple is fraudulant. Customers and users first my shiny ass. Patent law does nothing but bring hell to customers and users. I'm ashamed to have owned an Apple product in my life.
I see I hit another nerve......why do I keep putting my foot in my mouth? I never said it was ok for Apple to steal, don't know where you got that from. These company sue each other for B.S all the time. It's just a big game to them. From the get go, I said I'm with you that I hate these patent law suits weather it favors Apple or not. It's just a way of business nowadays. And if it so happen that it benefits me, I'll take it! By the way, Apple is also being sued by google, HTC etc for stupid patent infringements cases too. Just because you read about this one doesn't mean they are not being wronged by other companies too. Like you said yourself, they are stealing off each other, it's who has the bigger balls and I believe Apple has the bigger nuts right now. So I'm riding them to the bank! Lucky for me, I don't see Apple as god. I don't believe in God remember?! I'm not sure if you are referring to me when you say people have no clue what they are talking about and don't have a single ounce of understanding to back up claims. If you were referring to me, please enlighten me what you think I don't understand and what claims I need to back up? As for my apple stocks being worthless, I think I'll be ok, but thanks for the warning. With Apple owning a big chuck of the market worldwide, weather it's PC, Phones or tablets, even if it drops to half of what it's worth now. I'll still be in the six figures. So you keep on wishing it will be worthless. http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericjackson/2012/03/21/why-apple-will-hit-1650-by-the-end-of-2015/ You said you are ashamed to have owned an Apple product in your life. I totally LMAO when I read that. Do you own a HTC, samsung or android phone? Do you own a LCD/LED TV or a plasma TV (LG, Samsung, Vizio etc)? If you do, I guess you should also be very ashamed of yourself. Because all of the above products have been or still in infringement patent lawsuits. The list can go on and on. Peace my brother!
