lol fuck me, this is terrible, i need to learn canto... all i can understand is that the first guy is taking care of a friend's baby and doesnt know what stuff to buy if these guys can speak fluently i should be able to as well >_<... maybe i just gotta spend some time in HK
Already posted this way back: http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showpost.php?p=578764&postcount=1 Both of these guys are TVB actors; they can speak but their pronunciations are horrible (the first worst than the second). And white folks speaking Canto? That's not strange, what's strange is Chinese folks speaking English, LOL... I haven't gotten that in many years, but "Wow... you really speak good English for a Chinese guy..." used to be something that I'd hear a lot. I would always reply, "Gee thanks, and your English isn't bad either, for a white guy..." No kidding, some of them used to stare blankly and not get it. And learning Canto? Watch more TVB!
lol cantonese people always bitch about other people's pronounciation. its messed up cuz no one really gives a shit about english pronounciation.. like you either say words right or wrong, or else you have an accent or you dont, but no one really cares in the end.
hey fearless.... do u speak canton with ur friends n do u speak canton with ur parents? i think i speak n understand a lot of canton cause i speak it a lot. i speak it with my friends n family. all my friends r abc's n i think we speak n understand it really good
i only know a little canto, i know like dinner conversation and basic conversation stuff... i dont actually speak it, but i can usually pick up on what people are saying if its a simple topic
yeah...i know them.... the "ryan" dude often has the role of "head of police" or something like that oh hell... once when i was in barcelona... n a black guy came up to me speaking mando... n i felt sooo sooo embarrassed.... im glad my mando has improved since then... oh n btw... one of my brothers ex classmates (@ asian trade management) was able to speak mando too... n he had higher marks for mando than my brother... oh god... what a shame! china was/is booming so everyone wants to do business with em...so i can imagine
hahah ready for the next superpower - China Would be good to learn chinese.. so many people speak it these days.. internationally or whatever.. chinese people are everywhere
its not really suprsing anymore =/ because after i met my mandarin speaking black friend... any other race that speaks it is not very surprising
Man, they're actually pretty good. Better than I am... then again, I've never gone to Chinese school... so meh. lol.
the second dude has been in tvb like forever, he's the white canto speaking guy on every damn show, he usually plays the head of the police department or something lol.
