For me, it's both parents. My dad has full access to the checkbook (s) and accounts, but as far as the actual check writing, and the mailing of bills, that will fall to my mom. They're both a part of major decisions concerning the finances. I think in the world of managing marital finances, each spouse should know their place and then things should work pretty smooth. So who controls the finances in your family? And how would you feel about letting your spouse handle your finances if you happen to make more money than he/she?
it used to be my daddy...when he was at work and my mum stayed at home looking after us like a 'siew lui yun' kekeke......but then as we got older....my mum took over and she now handles the finances
Both my parents do, although usually it's my dad who pays the bigger expenses like the rent and stuff, but my mom has a say in it too ofcourse. They both have veto right. Even I have veto right in some cases haha! And I control my own finances ofcourse.
for some reason my dad always has cash on him but my mom is armed with a checkbook. hahaha. so both i guess.
Any man that makes more money than his wife but lets her take the dominant position in handling their financial matters needs to get his head checked.
im trying to take over not exactly working, cos i just wanna make more money with the minimal money i haf and that means extra high risks, and im unwilling to do it lol ><
