Is there any truth whatsoever in the recent China publication of positive Tibet news?

what's so happen to the oppression and invasion, which the entire Western world claimed?

who is spreading propaganda, is it China or western countries?

BTW china officially allows foreign tourists to visit the Tibet region. is this a challenge to the western media?

I feel this is a victory for Chinese people that the truth finally came out. Those self-hating Chinese who loves to kiss western azses needs to STFU! :D

Also, if you don't trust Xinhua, trust the statistic data. And if you don't trust china's statistical data, you are welcome to visit Tibet and see it yourself. it's officially open for tourist in April 4th. Go visit it and see it with your own eyes!.

Can Dalai Lama's lie deceive the world for long?

    Special Report: Focus on Tibet

BEIJING, March 28 (Xinhua) -- The Dalai Lama's "Tibetan government-in-exile" recently made public a video purportedly showing Chinese policemen "overusing violence" against a Tibetan demonstrator during the March 14 riot last year.

Some Western media broadcasted the video as if they had found a treasure. Unfortunately, these media have been cheated again as the video is another lie the Dalai Lama clique has fabricated to fool the world.

Technology experts have found the video was intentionally edited to piece together difference places, times and people.

The Dalai Lama clique fabricated the video with the aim to continue deceiving the international community and covering up the truth of the March 14 riot. It was simply another repetition of the same old tricks by the Dalai Lama clique which has been accustomed to telling lies.

It is known to all that many innocent people and policemen were seriously wounded and people's property suffered huge losses in the riot incited by the Dalai Lama clique.

In order to hide the truth, the Dalai Lama clique now resorted to fabricating a fake video, which demonstrates that the clique has exhausted all its tricks.

As former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln put it, "You may deceive all the people part of the time, and part of the people all the time, but not all the people all the time."

Can the Dalai Lama's lie deceive the world for long? After all, the fake is fake, and the truth will become known to all. A fabricated video can never distort the facts. We sincerely hope that the Western media that have been fooled by the Dalai Lama clique would not make the same mistakes again.

But tell me, why should 'westeners' even want that in the first place? What's in it for them? I mean, why go through all the trouble of even wanting Tibet to be separated (or in your words, 'liberated') from the PRC at all? What is their motivation for all this? Why not separate say, Hong Kong from China, where (in terms of legality) there was probably a lot more to argue with (vis a vis the 'in perpetuity' clause from the treaty)?

Instead of just saying that the west is spreading BS against China, do tell us why and how; qualify what was said as BS.

From the US State Department's Page on China, regarding visiting Tibet:

In other words, you need to have not only a visa to visit China, but in addition, a special permit to be allowed to visit Lhasa City and a part of Shan Nan only. You are still not allowed to see the rest of Tibet at all. This is a permanent restriction on all foreign travelers and unrelated to the recent political unrest related travel restrictions (due to be lifted in the beginning of April) . Far from being open to westerners, the majority of Tibet is closed to the world, and will probably remain so. Only carefully prepared and tightly controlled showcase areas (like Lhasa City) are allowed for foreigner travel.

At any rate, if you do go, please detail and share your experiences with us here. ;)
