This week was the Idol Gives Back and it was indeed a very emotional and touching 2-hours special. I couldn't help myself tearing throughout most of the scenes they recorded of kids in African and even back in the USA. I sure would have picked up the phone if I was in the US There are six contestants left in the show; Lakisha Jones, Melinda Doolittle, Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis, Chris Richardson and Phi Stacey. Who is your fav. contestant to win the Idol this year? It's very tough for me to pick, as I noticed all of these 3 females have amazing talent and powerhouse vocals, as for the guys, they each have quite a personality. So far, Melinda is the only one who has gotten good comments every week and after Jordin being in the bottom two this week, she is now the only contestant who has yet to be in the bottom 3! So if I were to pick, I think Melinda should be the most deserving of all to win Idol this year, based on her ability to shine each week and her consistency of displaying wonderful showmanship. But then again, she has been a back-up singer. So I guess all those experience worked in her favor. One thing I didn't like was her 'shocked' expression every time she received a good comment. She did it so many times that I was beginning to think she faked it. I am so glad Simon told her to stop! My personal favourite (not based on most deserving) is Lakisha, just because she always looks so sincere and endearing. As for the guys, Chris reminds me very much of Justin Timberlake, while Phil is just great with all those pop and R&B songs. According to the judges, Phil is at his best in the country genre too. As for Blake, he's unique. His ability to boombox and slick dance moves earned my vote. And he seems like a nice and sweet guy! Go Blake!
actually Jordin wasn't in the bottom 2 during the Idol Give Back results day. As Seacrest said in the beginning of the show, the results will be giving in random order (therefore, hinting that there will be no one going home that week). anyways, i'm a big fan of jordin spark. even though, she is only 17 years old. she has really shown through the weeks that she has the refine eloquence that is needed to be an American Idol. truthfully, the only person that i actually considered to be a true American idol would be Kelly Clarkson. since she was the original, but mainly because she has it all; the voice, the look, the personality, and plus she can sing the yellow-pages and still make it sound like a number-one hit. And i think jordin has that.
Just when i thought I am the only one in PA watching American Idol Ah i see, so it was random results. My bad. Okay that makes sense, since Jordin has never been in the bottom 3 and she got pretty good comments for her last performance. I think Jordin has got the looks, talent and personality too. But a person like her probably doesn't need American Idol to get a record-deal. I mean, usually people with looks don't have much difficulty, compared to those lesser-looking ones. So my vote still goes to Lakisha/Melinda and for the guys to make it to the final two: Blake.
Is it the Curse of the Balds? Phil Stacey, despite getting rave reviews from the judges for a great opening performance was one of the two voted out this week... Chris Richardson, the Justin Timberlake also bid us farewell. And we are down to the final four... 3 FEMALES and 1 MALE. Very interesting indeed. I am rooting for Blake now to make it to the final two... His risky take on You Give Love A Bad Name was awesome and original! Seems like not many people on PA are watching American Idol -shrug
lol. not alot of people on pa enjoys the composition of the american music industry. i always wonder if someone from the asian music industry, whom is not incredible famous yet goes back and challenge the american idol competition. i mostly pay attention to the taiwanese and mandarin charts. since there are alot of "ABC" singers in the main-stream music in taiwan. imagine if Nicky Lee or Stanley Yang or even Alexander Wang (Lee Hom) goes back and compete in American Idol. how crazy would that be? lol. it would be fun if they don't even get past the auditions.
Oh oh my gawd... My fav. Lakisha was voted out last week -cry2 Now the final three.. Blake, Melinda and Jordin. Who is it gonna be? Who are going to be in the final two ?! I am rooting for Blake and Melinda to be in the finals.... -lol Seems to me no one watches American Idol
the fact that is voted out says it all lol...she lacks showmanship imo coupled with her unattractive appearance...it is just a matter of time =P
^Wow you ARE shallow... Lol jz cause she's overweight doesn't mean she's unattractive ok? And being voted out doesn't mean one's no good.. Look at Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls... She's a celebrity now!
i think most ppl will agree with me that she looks rather unattractive =P and like what i've mentioned earlier...she lacks showmanship, really bores me out...there is something about her that makes me feel that she wont make it in hollywood heh
^That's mean! -.- And no, I do find that she looks lovely. I think the reason for your thinkin she's unattractive's because of her weight? And this is supposed to be a singing contest, not a beauty pageant.
