Well it's just been confirmed for me that my mom's taking me to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. So who else is going? :D
It's not like we're meeting up or anything, but I'm just curious as to who else will be going.

Anyone familiar with the tickets cost (if its still available ?) & how it works.
I know that the open and closing ceremony will be held at 1 location so the tickets (if you have them) will only admit you to that particular event. What about other regular events (eg swimming & track events). Would u need the appropriate ticket or would 1 general ticket allow you to attend either event?

The Equestrianism (you know the sports with the horses) are going to be held in HK.

I'm not going to Beijing, been there in 2005 and it's a gruesome idea to be with billions of mainland chinese with their -how to put it?- "nonchalance toilet usage" in one city... -shock

London 2012 would be closer to me but with terrorism back in mind it's not that attractive so maybe I have to wait for the Amsterdam one in the future.

I probably won't go to Beijing for 2008, since my friends who live there said that it's going to be disasterously expensive and unaffordable, even if the accommodation is taken care of.
I will go to 2010 Winter Olympic in Vancouver though. Skating and hockey!!!
