... when they're basically just dumping a whole bunch of chemicals onto it just so it'll become lighter, which in turn will cause hair-thinning and possibly, falling out of hair (from what i know/seen)? A tip for natural highlights: put lemon juice on your hair before you go out in the sun.. or you can be like me. i guess i must spend a considerable amount of time in sunlight because people ask me if i have highlights in my hair but i don't.
well, yeah. but you can protect yourself against the sun. my point is why would you willingly dump chemicals on your hair?
it looks gd init? jux like ppl putting on make up , which does cause harm to the skin as there are certain amount of chemicals too~
I've never highlighted/ dye my hair b4. I like it black. And it just doesn't seem appealing enough for me to damage my hair for sth so temporary.
well y would ppl use make up? thats just dumping chemicals on your face y use toothpaste, dumping more chemicals onto ur teeth y drink coke etc, dumping chemicals INSIDE ur body y even eat... more chemicals y breathe? ur breating in chemicals that are killing u.... depends how far u want to take it, and how much u want to interpret that. but highlights/hair dye end of day, its basically for looks u want to dress up and look good, cos u can and u want to not every1 does it, but for those who want to, they can yes, dying hair damages it, but the idea is just rearranging chemical bonds between certain stuff to achieve wat u want which is y u end up using conditioners to help soothe it, and fix it the worse thing abt dying hair is just getting it on ur scalp and drying that up... tho bleaching is worse, hair actually feels dead i've bleached/dyed multiple colors, tried them all (had to try, there comes a phase wen u wanna try and do it, and then regret it lolz) older ppl, they all get white hair, they don't like it, so they dye it black i don't see anything wrong with it, so long as u know wat ur doing
@reno: I have had that phase too. My favourite was the blonde (not bitter nor regretting) it was amazing, too bad I have to grow up and bid farewell to my wild hair days My hair is brownish... but from years of swimming it got really... well let's just say damaged. So it picks up colour very well. I am not really a tanning/sun person so the lemon juice doesn't really work for me But meh, it's not like I WILL get my hair highlighted now...
done it regret it .....it looks fine but then touching up takes forever and then when you comb your hair ehh
^ haha. true. and about the makeup, yeahh i realize people are putting on chemicals every day, some even more harmful than you may think. my friend was doing a research project on make up ingredients and she found some really strange stuff like rat poison, among other toxic ingredients. and no, i'm not joking. i don't think i'll ever dye my hair because it's just so damaging and not even permanent.
I personally like to highlight my hair even thought I know it do damage what the hack. Even thought someday you will die. Just live it up. relax and enjoy every moment others by the time you realize it might be to late. I know a client whom is so fit and doesn't smoke or drink. But now she's facing beast cancer. & my uncle whom never smoke or drink also got cancer. Now this life babe. just do what you could enjoy before it's to late.... Have fun and think positive.... >.<
i wanted an ash grey look, but it turned out blonde.. seems like its not easy to get the colour u want.
I used to throw all types of shades on (blue, purple, red, etc) for fun, but now I stop because it won't look right in my field XD.
