so i tried to turn on the computer. the monitor flickered and turned off. -surr pressed restart monitor said no signal.:ugh::ugh: pulled out power cable from desktop. pushed power button, plugged cable back in. turned on this time. but a load of errors. anyone know if i'm supposed to do something about this error? is my graphics card dying now?? i have been using windows 7 since start of the year no problems hardware is some old stuff from 2006. any idea appreciated!! next thing: so i followed windows instructions to update drivers... will see how that goes =S then device manager popped up. what are all those texas instrument things?? is this even normal?
i don't think the texas instrument things are normal but they are not to do with ur graphics card. ur graphics card may have stopped working or there has been an error. it does happen. it has happened to me before. usually i turn it off and then back on and everything is fine again. it doesn't happen to me often. i guess the question is how often this is happening for u? updating the driver may help.
I've had similar problems with Nvidia graphics drivers for Windows 7. Usually get that error when I'm working with Photoshop.
after updating the driver. same thing. it runs a bit laggy. inparticular youtube videos are most obvious everytime the desktop goes to sleep it wont come back on until i unplug the power. press the power button draining it of its electricity. plug cable back in and turn it on. then it comes back as "resuming windows" then the list of error reports again.
did this problem occur when you first got windows 7? or have you been using it awhile before encountering this error?
Maybe you've overused it....I bought my 8600GT back in 2008 and last year my whole monitor's brightness just drastically increase to the point that the light teal colour that is the background of our posts eventually turned white and [N]'s name was actually invisible to me lol. Anyways at the beginning of this year when I got a new Radeon 5750 as a gift, I finally took out my old 8600GT and found out a cylinder was popped, so yeah, might be wearing out. Or try cleaning those PCI-Express slots if you're using those for your drive, might work, but by the looks of it, it's something to do with Texas.
LOL, remove the current driver and get the latest from nvidia's website plus do windows update... u could also pull out the card, turn on computer and reseed the card...
essentially... pull the cord out from the psu, switch it off, hold down the power button for roughly 3 seconds, pull the video card out... (unplug it from the PSU if applicable) replug it back in and plug the cord back in, switch the PSU on, and start up. but your main goal is to find the latest drivers for your card....
been using windows 7 for about half a year now. problem only just occurred 2 days ago. it wont turn back on after it goes to sleep. i've updated the driver using microsoft drivers updater. i couldnt seem to find the right one on the manufacters website. i'll try the other methods next friday... sigh.... computer dying during exam period is not great... i've changed the settings to "NEVER" go to sleep, and turned on the screen saver... =|
this happens on my laptop, stupid video card.... when i put it to sleep and close the lid, it doesn't recognize if i open the lid when i go to wake it up from sleep. No matter what i try, but i can hear the chimes it makes. :( but this wasn't only happening with windows 7, happened with vista as well. XP had a different issue.... LOL my laptop video card blows!!!!!
hey! same problem i think =D should i not be happy? :stickpoke: yeah i hear it running and all when i turn it on from sleep mode. but nothing =X
