The question rather be when instead if your going to get it. Since theres larger profit to be made because of higher specs to run vista, oem companys are sure to push for it from the start. Big companys like Boeing for example won't run its because of bugs and security issues until several years later. I believe boeing didn't run XP until like 2005-6 timeframe... Along with that DirectX 10 is limited to Vista so those who want the best eye candy are sure to upgrade. Crysis has support for DirectX10 along with other "next gen" stuff...its a matter of time not if.
Has Vista been officially released? I've been waiting for it to be released before getting a new computer. No sense buying a computer with XPP right now.
tested the first beta builds and others after that..meh..in time..will eventually get.. around to it...w2k...w3k..xpp..all good with me for now.
you dont realli need to get a new computer, if you already got a doomsday device, then all you gotta do is bye the upgrade disc
nope, im happy with xp, cant be arsed, nor have the money to upgrade. I like vista for some of the graphical interface (Aero or something) but the more i look at it, the more i dont actually need it... Plus waiting will be good, let others iron out the bugs first -^_^
once the retail version is out i m gonna get it i like its dx10 new feature and the 3D desktop intregration .. nice!
Its obvious that theres going to be bugs'; look back at when winxp first came out, ppl were complaining about bugs everywhere that they even continued using win2000. And even now there's still bugs in winxp that microsoft needs to work, i mean look at now many times we need to update.
yeh but if your first to buy, your gonna have the most, not to mention compatability issues with software.
